I am so grateful that you are connected with me today. I want to start by saying how exciting it will be to formally meet any potential New York meditators on this journey we are all embarking on.
Whether you are a religious and spiritual person like myself, or not, I want to bring awareness to the powerful subject in that ~ prayer itself didn't actually start as a religion. I like to think of prayer as a human birthright. Prayer initiated in human beings as a method of connecting to our "Higher Self."
For those who aren't familiar with the roots of the "higher self" definition, this entity is related to whatever we want it to be. Some think of it as God, or angelic guardians. Some view it as their desired self, or the person they wish to allow their body to soon become. Other's view it as the Universe's purpose for that being, or self. Some people just see it as an enlightened energy, or light source unto life. There are thousand's of descriptions for this being.
My mission as your Meditation Guide, or Practitioner/Teacher, is to help you find that definition for yourself, and the betterment of your life's journey. Because prayer, and prayer pose, have a history for human beings, seeking to go deep within themselves, as early as 1,500 years ago, to ask that "higher self" for answers. This is Meditation.
We all want answers to the questions we acquire in life. So it is so important for us to step away from our busy and congested lives, especially those of you living in the fast lanes of New York, and quiet the mind, in order to receive the answers within us. That may be some clarity we are looking for. Or maybe some inner wisdom and guidance on a difficult decision we've been stuck on. Maybe some of us want to heal past wounds that are causing blocks in the balance of our present lives.
Meditation has really stood the test of time throughout history of all religions and cultures to take what we really need out of ourselves, clean it up, balance it out, reset our energy, and say a prayer of gratitude that we are able to leave this normal world we live every day and connect to that Higher Self. Whoever that may be for each of us.

Even if people just want to become better at focusing, develop healthy methods for relaxing, improve their sleep, and some - strengthen their immune system; the best part about meditation is that anybody can do it.
I hope to see you at an event, I hope to work with you, I am grateful to have your audience, and I wish you love and mindfulness throughout your day.
Namaste.
